Greeting

It is our great pleasure to announce that the International Conference on Active Polymer Materials and Soft Robotics (2019) will be held on August 25-28, 2019, in Xi'an, China. 

Active polymers are polymers that are responsive to diverse stimuli including electrical and magnetic fields, light, heat, and moisture, etc. They have received great attention because of broad applications such as soft sensors and actuators, soft robotics, wearable electronics, and various bioengineering devices. The advent of 3D or 4D printing gives rise to exciting opportunities for design and fabrication of active polymers based devices. We organize such a wonderful event and provide a platform for excellent presentations, in-depth discussions as well as interactions with industries.  

The annual conference will be held in China and Japan in turn, which is organized by Chinese and Japanese researchers in the field of active polymers and soft machines. In 2019, it will be held in Xi'an, a city with over 3000 years history and full of tourist spots.
